Asian Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

12 butter lettuce leaves

1 lb ground chicken

3 Tbsp sesame oil – divided

1 large onion – chopped

5 cloves garlic – minced

1 Tbsp soy sauce

¼ cup hoisin sauce

2 tsp fresh ginger – minced

1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar

¼ cup green onions – chopped

For garnish:

⅓ cup daikon – cut into matchsticks

⅓ cup carrots – cut into matchsticks

Roasted peanuts – chopped, for garnish

Directions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil on medium-high heat and brown chicken. Drain liquid and set chicken aside.
  2. Heat another tablespoon of sesame oil in pan and cook onions until soft. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Return chicken to the pan with all remaining ingredients except for lettuce and garnishes. Mix and cook for a minute until well combined.
  4. Serve on lettuce leaves with garnishes.
