The Thyme & Table 8 inch nonstick fry pan is an excellent fry pan. The fry pan is exceptionally nonstick. For example, when cooking oil is poured into it, the oil does not naturally and smoothly spread throughout the bottom of the fry pan as ordinarily occurs in other pans. Rather, some of the oil tends to bead up in parts of the fry pan and leave other parts dry, even after twisting the pan to get the oil to spread further. Only by manually spreading the oil does it cover the fry pan. When frying food in the pan there is no sticking whatsoever. The fry pan handle is about 7 inches long, making it easy to handle the pan. Even though the handle is all metal, it does not become hot when the fry pan is heated.
Thyme & Table Nonstick 8 in frying pan with black and gold speckle is a well-made product! The speckle is not shimmery, so there is no need to worry about anything flaking off. The speckle is built into the pan and the surface is completely smooth. The metal on the bottom of frying pan is thicker than my others. This, I found, was a good thing. The thickness of the metal bottom does make it take longer to heat the pan; however, the heat is evenly spread, without one spot being hotter on the other. This makes for even frying when using! At first, you may feel the need to use cooking spray on this pan, as it does not feel as smooth as other nonstick pans, but that is not so. I have cooked with this pan a few times without the use of cooking spray and can attest to the fact that nothing sticks! The handle is gold in color and did not get hot when the pan was in use. I do not have a dish washer, but this pan has held up well to constant hand washing and drip drying. I would highly recommend this product! It may take a bit longer to get the pan to the desired degree of heat, but the evenness of the cooking makes this product well worth it!
The Thyme and Table non-stick, ceramic 8 inch fry pan is small but perfect for some jobs. My first time using it I made a crustless quiche and it turned out PERFECT! The quiche came right out of the pan and because it is safe for stove and oven use, I was able to sauté mushrooms and onions in the pan then simply add my egg mixture into the pan and pop it in the oven. They recommended to hand Washing the pan for best results and longevity of the pan so I hand washed it. It came clean easily. I am so extremely happy with this little pan and I would definitely recommend it to friends, family and anyone else! It is the perfect size for a small crustless quiche, it is also a great size for cooking scrambled eggs. I also like that it’s not too shallow for its size.
I have had many fry pans that claim to be non-stick. I will have to say that this one is the best ever. This is made of a triple layer of titanium & it is oven safe. It is safe to use on electric, gas, ceramic, & even induction stove tops. This is a beautiful pan with gold speckles on it & a nice looking gold handle. You wash the pan in warm water before your first use. After that, hand washing is recommended for longevity. You need to not use any abrasive cleaners & any harsh detergents. It says not to use steel wool & don’t soak the pan for a long period of time. Do not put in your microwave. It states that it uses less butter and oils. I can honestly say that this s a very true statement & not just a claim.
This fry pan is one of the best I have used. It was washed and dried then I put an egg into the pan with no grease at all. Not only did it not stick, the egg just moved around easily. The handle did not get hot and after the egg came out I wiped it out with a dish towel. I would suggest letting it cool before washing. This would be a great pan for single people or couples. I also loved the black finish with the gold specks and the gold handle.
