1 (16-oz) can biscuit dough
1 lb breakfast sausage
2 Tbsp butter
¼ cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a large, stove- and oven-safe pan or skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes or until cooked through – crumbling the sausage with a wooden spoon as you go.
Add flour, garlic powder and onion powder – stir frequently. Cook for about 1 to 2 minutes until a thick mixture forms.
Stir in milk and heat until boiling. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Bake for about 20 to 30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
